Skesta 2006 : Kenangan Manis Bersama Datuk Ahmad Maslan & Najib

KUALA LUMPUR -Tuesday, December 12, 2006- It is not a name that catches the attention of many people. But the Persatuan Belia Sejati Felda Bukit Besar (Felda Bukit Besar Youth Association) in Johor Baru, with only 296 members, can pride itself with producing several good sportsmen.

Among them are national motorcross veteran Zakaria Muri, 45, and hockey player Mohd Hafizi, 18. The association received a feather in its cap when it was awarded the Anugerah Piala Timbalan Perdana Mentri for its involvement in the development of Felda's new generation.

“We carry out activities to keep the young people occupied during their free time,” said its chairman Zabidi Abas, 38.“Thank God, they are free of the drug problem and other social ills.

“Our members are not calculative and are willing to contribute whenever we have financial problems and carry out activities through gotong-royong,” Zabidi said after receiving the award from Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at the Felda Youth Awards and Convention.

Zabidi said the association was active in football, hockey, sepaktakraw and motorcross. The award is the highest given to Felda youth associations by the Prime Minister’s Department and the Felda Youth Council.

Najib terpaksa melantik Ahmad Maslan , sebagai orang kanan beliau kerana peneroka , keluarga dan generasi Felda mempunyai pengundi berdaftar melebihi 1 juta orang (talian hayat terakhir BN-Umno).

ANAK (didaftarkan dibawah PAS) telah berjaya menyedarkan peneroka hampir diseluruh negara . Mampukah Felda menyembunyikan penyelewangan dan ketirisan yang mereka lakukan. Felda sudah tidak boleh menyembunyikan lagi 'pekong' yang telah tersebar.
